High Street High Fashion?
Lately, I have heard this statement more and more often everytime. Shops like Topshop, Miss Selfridge and (sometimes) Next are filled with very fashion forward items. Not only they have more affordable prices, but they are original, great designs. I have also heard recently that many recent graduates from great design schools in the UK (like CSM) are part of these shop's design team, bringing inovation to the shops and great opportunities to their careers.
Topshop's collection of Statement Jackets is a personal favorite, along with Miss Selfridge's petite section (seriously they have tons of nice stuff).

Basic Must-Haves: Plain White T-Shirt
When it comes to the very basic must-have's, one should focus on style over trend. Personally, I think everyone should do that all the time! No matter how amazing are the clothes you're wearing, or how trendy they look, if you don't wear them with style then you're wasting your money.
Plain white T-shirts are very basic items of clothing, and can actually work pretty well with almost any relaxed outfit! Whether it's a V-neck or Scoopneck, a white T-shirt should be part of anyone's closet. Shopping for one is much simpler than shopping for a coktail dress, as the only thing that can go wrong is choosing the wrong size. You could choose a very basic one, or go for a more creative, different look, it's your choice. Here are some suggestions of basic, relaxed and cool white T-shirts.

The one above is from Gap. Gap has a great variety of T-shirts offered in many different colours, and they are not expensive at all! Plus, you'll find them there this season, and the next... and the next.

This one is by Ann Taylor, and it's not so basic. It has beaded strips and a nice, elegant scoopneck. You can find it on their website for a very affordable price.

For a very relaxed look, go to Abercrombie & Fitch. The worn effect on this one makes it look soft and comfortable to wear (and it probably is).
Wear it however you want, with jeans for a casual look, or with a flower print skirt for a flirty summery effect. You can find a great variety of these T-shirts and most of them will suit all body types! Ruffles, beads, string, whatever fits your style! If you don't have a white T-shirt then please, go buy one now!

Time to get some shades!
Lately, people have become more and more aware of the damage that sun can cause to your skin. So I suppose we are all wearing sunblock at the moment.
Not too long ago I read in a magazine how important it is to protect your eyes, too. We all know that, yet most of the time we forget to wear a hat or sunglasses to protect them! So why not buy a cool, laid back pair of shades, like classic Ray-Ban wayfarers?
Or something girly and sophisticated, like this pair by Armani Exchange

It doesn't matter if you choose one of these sugestions or opt for a completely different one, but remember to make sure they have UV protection!
Get-the-look: Erin Silver (clothes)
I've been watching 90210 ever since it came out. Not because I was a fan of the older version, I am much too young for that, actually, I don't remember why I started watching it in the first place.
With the second season, I fell in love with one character's stlye. It's Erin Silver who I'm talking about. This season Silver is edgier, new hairstyle, new wardrobe (yet still has the same sense of style) and new boyfriend.
To completly achieve Silver's new look, I must say it would be a basic to go to the hairdresser and get a cool, edgy bob (note: only do so if you can rock it!). But if you already got a bob or aren't brave enough to get one, there's a few basic items you should get:
A floral dress
A floral dress

like this one from Miss Selfridge.
A trendy hat

This one is from Topshop
A pair of heels or flats in a hot colour to go with the dress.

The ones above are from Aldo Shoes.
Welcome!
I guess you could say I've got a "passion for fashion", but that's just a cliché I would much rather avoid. And to be honest, I am more of an underdog, I know about fashion, I read Vogue, I have a very well hidden sketchbook full of my own designs, I just don't let most people know about it. Yet, I would enjoy very much to share this passion of mine, so why not do it annonymously? When I thought of that the first thing that came to my mine was, "You should write a blog", I didn't start straight away, but I kept the idea somewhere in my mind until today. Today I have decided to start writing my blog and hope that, eventually, someone will come to it and read it. Maybe even learn from it.
